IU Immigration Bridge Program
Don’t let H-1B visa concerns prevent you from hiring strong international candidates for your U.S. jobs – the IU Immigration Bridge Program can help you navigate the visa process to make excellent international hires.
The IU Immigration Bridge Program is a partnership between the IU Office of International Services and a top immigration law firm, Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Lowey LLP, which provides outside counsel. This partnership helps you:
Navigate and streamline the visa process.
Hire excellent candidates regardless of their immigration status.
Lock in lower legal fees while offering the highest-quality legal services
While using the IU Immigration Bridge Program and Fragomen’s services offers no guarantees, it can increase candidates’ chances of receiving an H-1B visa and becoming an excellent hire.
HOW IT WORKS
Graduating international students you interview will have access to the IU Immigration Bridge Program. The student fills out a brief form with the IU Office of International Services, which will then e-mail you, the recruiter, for permission to have the Fragomen law firm contact you to begin the process. With your permission, Fragomen will begin by sending you a questionnaire about the position and your organization’s needs.
Note: The visa process can take several months, depending on Federal Government timetables with no guarantee of securing an H-1B visa. Employers will cover the full cost of the H-1B visa process.
WHEN TO START
After you complete the first round of interview and have a strong interest in hiring an international student, you can begin working with Fragomen to help with the H-1B visa process.
